Covid19 restrictions have started to ease here in NSW (other states restrictions vary) which means more weekends away.
Weve settled into our new caravans and Blake has done some mods on the NP300 including taking off the steel tray and adding a tub and a canopy.
The best mod I recon has been the 30 second awning. Yes, it is that quick to set up, video to follow.
The MUX has a new set of Toyo A/T that have exceeded our expectations with great handling, ride and little noise.
Christmas is just around the corner and in the new year we will reveal our plans for something special happening in March.
Back in august last year while Garth and Ruth were patiently waiting for their new Starcraft Bushpack caravan to arrive they updated their tow vehicle to an ISUZU MU-X.
Already fitted with a 2inch lift and and suspension updrade, long range fuel tank, off road alloys and X-Rox bar, tow bar and a REDARC ELECTRONICS trailer brake kit. We re-fitted the Street Guardian dash cam and the GME XRS connect 330C and a new Ultimate9 throttle controller.
Now, we had been spoilt in the Triton having a TOWPRO Elite fitted since new so it was just a matter of time till Garth wanted to upgrade the TOW-PRO and after just a few weekends away towing the new caravan it was time for an upgrade.
So it was out with the old and in with the new. Despite there being very little room up under the dash in the MU-X fitting the new TOW-PRO Elite module was a quick and easy process only taking us around an hour.
As the photos below show the upgrade fitting was a simple process, replacing the control module and the dash controller, reconnecting the wires and putting the dash back together and of course a roadtest with the caravan hooked up.
After a few more weekends away what do with think of the upgrade?
Amongst making it so much more easier to brake with the auto 0 setting, the option to override manually with just the turn of the knob makes for a safer towing experience all round.
Visit the REDARC ELECTRONICS website for detailed information on the TOWPRO ELITE and heaps of other REDARC

Without the support of the businesses above (click on the logos) Aussie4x4Touring would not be able to run the giveaways for our followers. We owe them a huge thank you and ask that you support them too.
We hope to bring you more awesome giveaways through 2020.
Aussie4x4Touring began with a Facebook page on 5th may 2018. Blake had the idea of starting a page that was about the people who followed the page not about the people who run the page.
With a focus on getting people involved, talking and making new mates. To many people Blake and Garth know have suffered with mental issues, once a subject never talked about now its part of everyday life and a subject that we all need to talk about.
Late in 2019 we began our support of the RUOK? Foundation. We hope that by talking and getting people involved with Aussie4x4Touring we can help people out there who may need someone just to talk to.
If you think someone you know needs help start a conversation and ask RUOK?
Aussie4x4Touring are proud to announce their support for the RUOK? movement.
RUOK?’s vision is a world where we're all connected and are protected from suicide.
Remember an RUOK? conversation could change a life.
The R U OK? movement wants people to feel confident in starting an R U OK? conversation if they know the signs that could indicate someone's struggling with life.
In the coming months we will do regular social media posts with links and information on R U OK?.
Aussie4x4Touring’s followers come from all over Australia, from diverse backgrounds, with varied life experiences. Many Australians take their lives each year and by raising awareness for the R U OK? movement Blake and Garth hope they can encourage Aussie4x4Touring’s followers to ask that question, R U OK?
Visit the R U OK? website www.ruok.org.au for more information on how you can help ask the question.
Trust the Signs, Trust your gut & Ask R U OK?
